Dental surgery

We deal with surgical issues of treatment of diseases, defects and injuries of the oral cavity and teeth. It is a supernumerary specialization of dentistry.

Tooth Extraction

The most common cases of tooth removal

Teeth are most often removed due to irreversible damage from injury, caries or gum disease. Common causes include problems with wisdom teeth, lack of space in the jaw or incorrect position that prevents cutting.

These teeth can cause pain, inflammation
and damage to surrounding teeth, so removal is often recommended — ideally at a younger age when healing is easier
and complications can be prevented.

Surgical procedures

Oral, maxillofacial treatment
Symptoms and perimaxillary inflammation

These are most often serious complications caused by dead teeth or incompletely cut wisdom teeth.

The best prevention is proper care of the dentition and oral cavity and timely removal of wisdom teeth, if they do not have a chance to cut in a normal position.

Resection of the root tip of the tooth and retrograde filling of the root canal

These procedures are carried out when infection is not possible
in the root of the tooth to be removed by non-surgical (orthograde) treatment. An inflammatory or cystic deposit often develops in the jawbone, which must be surgically removed along with the tip of the root — the main source of infection. The root is then retrograde machined and filled with MTA material. A tooth treated in this way usually remains preserved and functional for a long time.

Removal of cysts

The most common are root cysts arising
due to infection in an untreated or poorly treated root canal, therefore, before their removal, it is necessary to treat the tooth endodontically.

Follicular cysts are also common, connected
with an uncut wisdom tooth, which are removed together with it. Untreated cysts can enlarge, displacing the roots of the teeth, weakening the jaw and increasing the risk of fracture. They can also fester or rarely go bad
in malignant form, therefore, their elimination is necessary.

Autotransplantation of the tooth

This is a procedure in which the dentist transplants his own healthy tooth (most often the third molar) to a place in the mouth where the tooth is already missing or removed just before the transplant.

The transferred own tooth in this way can in some cases completely replace the introduction of the implant
and thus fully represent the missing tooth.
After about two weeks after the procedure, the autotransplanted tooth is treated endodontically
and then fitted with a prosthetic crown.

Surgical adjustment of the jaw before denture treatment

It is a surgical treatment of the bone and plastic treatment of the surrounding soft tissues so that the denture acquires greater stability and retention and can subsequently be functionally much better suited.

We perform the procedure because in the course of life there is often a very irregular loss (atrophy) of the jaw bone due to various causes. The probing denture then causes painful bruises and holds poorly, loosens during mimic movements and when chewing.

Removal of small formations from the oral cavity and from the lips

We remove all sorts of growths of non-cancerous and tumor nature (only benign) from the area of the gums, mucous membrane of the oral cavity and lips.

Injury surgery

We treat all injuries of the teeth, oral cavity and alveolar jaw protrusion with modern medical procedures.

Methods of numbness

Surgical procedures are performed in complete comfort thanks to perfect numbness.

In addition to perfect local numbness, a “soothing injection” — called analgosedation — can also be administered at the same time as local numbness. The performance is then much more pleasant and the onset of pain is also delayed and alleviated after the local numbness subsides.
